Ramadan Mubarak!

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatallahi Wa Barakatuhu
The Muslim Association of Canada and Masjid Toronto have announced the first day of Ramadan 1441 Hijri on Friday April 24 following the decision of The Fiqh Council of North America.
Ramadan Mubarak to the Muslim community, especially our local congregation and the many Muslim professionals who work downtown Toronto and filled Masjid Toronto Dundas and Adelaide on Friday Jummuah Prayers.
I pray that Allah SWT bestow His blessings on you and your families this blessed month of Ramadan.
Ramadan has come to us at a time of global struggle, where physical distancing is the only viable defense against COVID-19. Masjid Toronto will remain closed following the provincial and local governments’ orders and public health directives. The doors of the Masjids are closed but the doors to heaven are always open. So you can pray to Allah anywhere including your houses.
As you spend Ramadan in your homes, MAC is launching a complete national educational and spiritual programs. A new digital portal for all MAC Ramadan activities and resources is available on our website, www.macnet.ca.
Masjid Toronto has experienced financial strain since the start of COVID-19. As you know the Masjid’s operational costs relied on your generous donations. I am urging all of our dear regular congregation and Friday Jummuah congregation to donate to Masjid Toronto. We are also accepting Zakatul-Mal and Zakatul-Fitr (Fitra); which is $10 for each member in your family.
May Allah SWT accept your donations and reward you multiples in this blessed month of Ramadan.
You can apply for Zakat and Fitra by sending a letter to the Masjid or sending an email to info@masjidtoronto.com.
Thank you
Dr. El-Tantawy Attia
Manager, Masjid Toronto
