The fast of Ashûrâ,
This year, the day of Ashûrâ (the 10th of Muharram 1443), corresponds to the Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
Abu Qatada reports: The Prophet (SAWS) was asked about the fast of 'Ashûrâ'. He replied, “He erases the sins committed in the previous year. [Muslim].

وعنْ أَبي قَتَادةَ رضيَ اللَّه عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رسولَ اللَّهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم سُئِلَ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ عاشُوراءِ، فَقَال: »يُكَفِّرُ السَّنَةَ المَاضِيَةَ » رواه مُسْلِمٌ.
